If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to be a baker, butcher, brewer or even an oyster grower, this is the foodie fundraiser for you.
Through March 11, head to Just Food’s website, and bid for a chance to spend a day with one of 30 New York City food professionals—from urban farmer Ben Flanner (of Brooklyn Grange) to Karen Rivara, a local oyster grower and chef Jacques Gautier (of Palo Santo).
It’s all part of Just Food’s “Day In the Life” online auction. And, of course, it’s all for a good cause. All proceeds from the auction go to support Just Food’s sustainable food programs—CSAs, community-run farmers’ markets and farm-to-food pantry programs.
